Zoe Louise Ball is a British television personality who hosts The Radio 2 Breakfast Show and It Takes Two, which airs every weeknight on BBC Two.
She is Johnny Ball’s and Julia Anderson’s daughter. she was brought up alongside her brother Jamie Clark. Her father is a renowned announcer and TV host best known for making math and science interesting for children in the late 1970s and early 1980s by his many children’s TV programs such as BBC’s Think of a Number and ITV’s Johnny Ball Reveals Everything.
The pair married in 1969 and divorced when Zoe was two years old, in 1972. Dian’s father later married. Zoe attended Heston Junior School in the Hounslow area before going on to Farnham Common First School and Farnham Common Middle School before attending Holy Cross Convent School in Chalfont St Peter and Amersham College of Art and Technology. She also studied as an actress at the Young Theatre in Beaconsfield.
Ball hosts It Takes Two, which airs every weeknight on BBC Two, as well as Radio 1 Breakfast and The Radio 2 Breakfast Special for the BBC. She was the first woman to independently host the Radio 1 Breakfast Show. She and Jamie Theakston co-hosted four excellent seasons of “The Priory” on Channel 4.

She left in 1996. She was a regular on Top of the Pops and served as the host of Fully Booked’s inaugural season.
She previously worked for ITV1, where she and Trevor MacDonald co-hosted the nature program “Extinct,” where she also presented the second season of “Soapstar Superstar,” and where she also hosted “Grease Is The Term,” ITV1’s nationwide search for a “Sandy” and a “Danny.”
She worked as a researcher for the Cool Cube on BSkyB and a runner at Granada Television. She subsequently spent two years working as a researcher for quiz programs.
