She received her education at Mississippi State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science. She also attended The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she holds degrees in Chemistry and Anthropology.

She works currently at KSTP as the M-F Evening Meteorologist covering the M-F night shows that Meteorologist Dave Dahl used to cover for 5 Eyewitness News. Her career began in Broadcast Meteorology in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and is excited to be back in the Upper Midwest forecasting in the Great Lakes region. Wren’s first job was as a weekend meteorologist in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and was then promoted to morning meteorologist. In October 2016, she left “America’s Dairyland” where she worked at WHDH as the morning meteorologist and midday meteorologist covering about a dozen Nor’easters throughout her time in New England.
Some of the few notable events she has covered include; Boston’s February 2017 Blizzard and historic flooding on January 4th of 2018. She has worked as a Chemist both part-time and full-time for five years and was part of multiple publications, primarily related to organic synthesis. In her free time, she enjoys visiting schools and chatting about the weather and science. And has tutored math and science since high school and has taught GED-seeking students through Neighborhood House in the Wellstone Center. Moreover, she has spent volunteering at Union Gospel Mission’s dental clinic as well as previously running the children’s dental outreach program. When she is not working, she loves to jog, bike, kayak, swim, and cross-country and downhill ski in the winter. Also, she enjoys watching baseball, hockey, and winter sports in general.
