A hotel representative has confirmed that the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe is currently under lockdown due to ongoing police activity in the surrounding area.
The Nevada State Police have also announced the closure of Highway 50 in both directions at the Stateline location of the hotel and casino.
As a result, officials are advising commuters to consider using Lake Parkway as an alternate route.
The individual who was spotted on Highway 50 shortly after Twin Bridges has been captured on our video. The footage displays a white Toyota 4Runner and a man wearing a red hat who is in police custody.
A number of different law enforcement organizations are reacting to reports of shooting at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada.
According to preliminary reports on the scanner, an individual has sustained gunshot wounds and is currently being transported to Barton hospital.
Additionally, the suspects involved in the incident have fled towards Kingsbury Grade, with law enforcement in pursuit.
Officers and detectives are currently on scene conducting an investigation.
Suspects have not been identified.
Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
