The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating after a fatal shooting early this morning in the 700 block of Monroe Street, Elkhart.
On March 25, 2023, at approximately 2:34 am, dispatch received a shooting with injuries call at 735 Monroe St (River Run Apartments).
Elkhart Police Department officers dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter. Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive male suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) inside the building.
Officers immediately rendered first aid until medics arrived.
The victim, identified as Tyquan Page, 20 years old from Elkhart, was pronounced deceased by medics.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was activated, per protocol, and is handing the investigation. At this time, no arrests have been made.
