Tim has been with Staudt on Sports for 25 years, having joined WILX in July 1980. In addition to Staudt’s “In My View” program, which airs on WILX at 6 PM and 11 PM, WILX added Thursday’s Staudt’s Rising Starts to promote youth sports participation.
Tim has hosted numerous coaches’ shows at WILX and participated in every CMN Telethon since it began in 1989. Every year that the teams have participated, Tim has anchored all of the MSU basketball tournament specials and MSU Bowl game specials.
Tim is also the host of Staudt on Sports, the longest-running show on Michigan Radio, which airs on WVFN AM 730. Both the Greater Lansing Sports Hall of Fame from 2003 and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame from 2019 include Tim.
An honorary member of the MSU Michigan Marching Band, the Lansing Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizen’s Award from 2014, the Distinguished Alumni Award from the MSU School of Communications from 2018, and the Founders Award, Sparrow Health System’s highest honor, were among the other honors.
