Sylvia Jeffreys Career
In December 2019, It was announced that Sylvia would co-host Today Extra replacing Sonia Kruger. At this present moment, She serves as the co-host of Today Extra with David Campbell.
Jeffreys started filing lifestyle stories in 2008 on Queensland’s Extra program, prior to returning to the newsroom in 2009. Sylvia was appointed weekend weather presenter in 2011 on Nine News Queensland.
While there, Sylvia reported on many news events as a reporter and weather presenter. This included the floods in Grantham, Ipswich, Brisbane, and Central Queensland.
She also traveled to Tully to report on the damage carved by Cyclone Yasi. Jeffreys moved to Sydney to join Today in January 2012 as a New South Wales reporter.
She remained a reporter on the show until June 2013. She was replaced by Natalia Cooper. Furthermore, Sylvia then joined Nine News as a reporter and a fill-in presenter on Today, Weekend Today, Nine Afternoon News, and Nine Morning News.
