Steve Pickett Biography and Wiki
Steve Pickett is an American news journalist currently working for CBS 11 as a news reporter. Before joining CBS DFW, Steve worked for KGW-TV Portland as a news reporter. Pickett is a recipient of the Emmy Award for coverage of the war in Iraq.
Pickett began his career at KFSN TV ABC 30 in California as a news reporter and fill-in anchor. He then joined KGW-TV as a news reporter in Portland. In March 1996, Steve joined KTVT-TV CBS DFW as a news reporter. He is responsible for daily news coverage of issues, events that affect and impact the lives of North Texans of the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Pickett covered Hurricane Katrina which won him Dallas Press Club Award. He also received an Emmy Award for covering the war in Iraq, professional recognition from The National Association of Black Journalists, The University of Oklahoma Black Alumni Society, and The Poynter Institute.
