Sporting: sanction suspended and a fine of 50,000 euros due to pyrotechnics

Sporting reported this Friday that it was punished by UEFA with a ban on selling tickets to its fans for the next European competition game away from Alvalade – a sanction suspended for two years – and a fine of 50,000 euros.

According to the statement from the leonine emblem, “the sanctions follow the incidents that occurred during the last UEFA Europa League game between Sporting Clube de Portugal and FC Midtjylland, in which a child and a sports agent were unfortunately injured due to the use and throwing of pyrotechnic devices by some supporters.»

«The sanction was suspended for 2 years, however, if there is a new similar infraction in that period, UEFA will execute the same in the next game of its competitions», concludes Sporting.
