Scott is currently heard on 96.9 The Rock, where he has been the morning DJ since 2019. He also made an appearance on WRKZ in December 2006, during the afternoon drive time slot. He eventually quit the network once it switched to a Top 40 format and started a sports talk program on ESPN 1250 with Eddy Crow and Mike Logan. Scott, along with Mike Logan, Stan Savran, Chris Mack, Guy Junker, and Ken Laird, was let go from ESPN RADIO 1250 on Monday, September 27, 2010.
He began his journalism career in the 1980s when he joined Pittsburgh’s classic rock station, WDVE. He co-hosted The DVE Morning Show with Jim Krenn. However, he took an 11-month hiatus from the show in 1999 and returned in 2000. Upon his return, he was reassigned as the only host of The Paulsen Radio Broadcast, an evening show.
He quit and joined WRKZ six years later. He returned to WDVE on January 19, 2012, as an executive contributor and fill-in host for Randy Baumann. Scott announced his official retirement from the show two years later, on January 31, 2014. He is a part-time author and publisher of various books, including Cow Tipping, Dirty Hippies, and Night Fruit Army, in addition to being a broadcaster. Dirty Hippies is a 2017 fiction novel published by Independent Publishers.
