Rohini Iyer is an Indian film journalist, blogger and entrepreneur, and business executive. She is the founder and owner of her media company called Raindrop Media. She has previously worked at Channel V and MTV before creating her own company.
Iyer dropped out of college when she was 16 years old. She began working for the film magazine G. She began working for celebrities in India as a publicity agent. In 2003, she founded her own media company called Raindrop Media. Her name choice was inspired by B.J. Thomas’s old song called Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.
Her first project in her company was publicizing and marketing the movie Main Hoon Na by director Farah Khan. The movie luckily hit the box office. As a publicist, she has worked with great celebrities in India such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Vidya Balan, Kareena Kapoor, John Abraham, and Bipasha Basu.
