He also has a Master’s degree in energy economics from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom. Ric began his professional career in 2013 by singing and playing the piano. He was given the name Hassani after appearing in a TV show. In addition, he was motivated to continue singing by Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, and Chris Brown.
He also runs his record label, Riverland Records. His 2016 hit song Gentleman was released that year. The African Gentleman, Hassani’s debut album, was released the next year. He has also received three AFRIMMA Awards, including Best R&Boul Artist, Video of the Year, and Most Promising Artiste. Ric was also nominated for two Headies awards in 2016, including Best Alternative Song for “Gentleman.”
Eric released his first official singles of the year, “Amina” and “The One”, in April 2023.
