One person killed and several injured after a shooting at a house party in Macomb

According to the Macomb Police Department, a shooting occurred at a house party in Macomb resulting in the death of one person and several others sustaining injuries.

The police department received a call reporting shots fired at the party located on North Johnson Street around 1:55 am on Saturday.

The police stated that the shooting followed a fight that broke out.

The authorities confirmed that one person was declared dead at the location and several others were shot and taken to McDonough District Hospital for medical treatment.

As a precautionary measure, the hospital has implemented lockdown procedures.

The police have stated that this was an isolated incident and there doesn’t appear to be any danger to the general public at this moment.
