Kai Wright is an American journalist from Brooklyn, NY currently serving as a writer and editor at The United States of Anxiety which mainly focuses on the politics of sex and race, particularly how their impact public health.

Wright contributes to leading independent as well as community-based media such as The Progressive, Mother Jones, and Real Health magazines.

Kai has also written for various publications ranging from Essence magazine to the Village Voice. Kai serves as a publications editor for the Black AIDS Institute.

He is also a columnist for TheRoot.com and author of  Drifting Toward Love: Black, Brown, Gay and Coming of Age on the Streets of New York.
