Jonathan Malangu Kuminga is a Congolese-American professional basketball player. He plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Kuminga plays the small forward and power forward positions.
Kuminga began his career in basketball while he was two years old. He moved to the United States in 2016 from DRC to play high school basketball. He has played high school basketball for Huntington Prep in Huntington, West Virginia, Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York, and The Patrick School in
Hillside, New Jersey.
He bypassed college basketball to join the NBA G League Ignite. He turned down offers from Texas Tech, Auburn, Duke, and Kentucky. He signed with the Warriors on August 3rd, 2021.
