Before that, John worked as a Washington correspondent since 2013. He officially joined The Economist in 2004 and has served as a home page editor, finance correspondent, Brazil correspondent, and India correspondent.
Before his stint at The Economist, he worked as a freelancer, contributing to The New Statesman and The Financial Times.
