Jackson Rathbone Biography
Jackson Rathbone is an American actor who was born on December 14, 1984, in Singapore. He is the son of Randee Lynn and Monroe Jackson Rathbone IV. He has three sisters, one of whom is Kelly Rathbone, a ceramic artist.
Due to his ancestry to the Liverpool-based Rathbone family, he is distantly related to Civil War general Stonewall Jackson and English actor Basil Rathbone. Monroe Jackson Rathbone II, his great-grandfather, was the chairman of Standard Oil, which later became Exxon.
Due to his dad’s position at Mobil Oil taking the family to better places, he resided in Singapore, Norway, and Indonesia prior to getting comfortable in Midland, Texas. Rathbone went to the Trinity School of Midland and got his start in local theater by participating in the Pickwick Players youth actors program.
At first, he did musical theater. He studied acting at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, where he spent his junior and senior years of high school.
He had hoped to continue his education in acting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow after graduation, but after being turned down, he decided to move to Los Angeles to look for acting work.

Rathbone was cast in Disney 411 after a brief stint in Los Angeles. There, he interviewed rising stars like Hilary Duff and the sister duo Aly & AJ. Additionally, he appeared as a guest on The O.C. and Close to Home.
Molding Clay, Pray for Morning, and Travis and Henry are among the films in which he appeared. In 2005, he got the job of Nicholas Fiske in ABC Family’s unique series Lovely Individuals. He stated in an interview in 2008 that it was his most challenging lead role and that it was also his first leading role.
Rathbone also played Adam and Amanda on Criminal Minds. In 2009, Rathbone played Jeremy in S. Darko. He also received praise for his performance as a serial killer in Criminal Minds, in addition to that role. Rathbone portrayed Sokka in the 2010 film The Last Airbender, which was based on the animated series.
Despite the fact that the movie was a commercial success, critics generally criticized it. The casting of Rathbone, whose character was inspired by the Inuit, was one of the criticisms. Rathbone does not come from an Inuit family.
Rathbone once played in a funk band called 100 Monkeys with Ben Graupner and Ben Johnson, two friends he met in high school at Interlochen Arts Academy, and close friends Jerad Anderson and M. Lawrence Abrams (also known as “Uncle Larry”).
Jackson plays the guitar, bass, drums, console, mandolin, trumpet, and harmonica and is on vocals. In 2009, the band released three albums. In December 2009, 100 Monkeys started a 100-city visit that took them to virtually every state in the US by mid-2010.
To coincide with the June release of their new album, Liquid Zoo, the band continued their tour into 2011. In the winter of 2011, the band went on their first international tour. On November 9, 2010, Rathbone made an appearance in an episode of No Ordinary Family.
He was said to have been cast alongside Aimee Teegarden in the Warner Premiere and Dolphin Entertainment action comedy web series Aim High in November 2010. The show where he depicts Nick Green, a secondary school junior who’s simply beginning another school year as one of the country’s 64 exceptionally prepared teen agents, debuted on October 18, 2011, on Facebook being the first “social series” on any point made.
Rathbone began filming Live at the Foxes Den in May 2011, in which he plays the lead role of Bobby Kelly, a lawyer. Rathbone joined the Pali Road cast in November 2014. PatchMo Entertainment is Rathbone’s production company, and Happy Jack Records is his record label.
