Jackson High School teacher Alyson Doulos found dead in Ypsilanti Township apartment

Police have identified the deceased woman discovered in a Ypsilanti-area apartment earlier this week.

Alyson Doulos, aged 48, was found dead in a unit located in Schooner Cove Apartments on Bosuns Way in Ypsilanti Township on Monday, March 13.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office had been contacted for a welfare check and upon being unable to locate Doulos, deputies forcibly entered the apartment where they discovered her deceased.

According to police, there were no other individuals present in the apartment, and they are treating the case as a homicide.

Alyson Doulos was an English teacher who taught 10th grade at Jackson High School, where she also served as the National Honor Society advisor since 2020.

Previously, she had taught English at Jackson College.
