In politics, what you do is balance the pros and cons. It is a political calculation to think about what the departure or permanence of Juscelino Filho (União Brasil) at the Ministry of Communications. After the meeting with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva the impression that remains is that Juscelino was convincing and managed to prove that the accusations would not be worthy of leaving office. Lula could pay a high price in keeping Juscelino and also in dismissing him.
< p dir="ltr" lang="en">In a video released on social networks, Juscelino denied that he had used a FAB flight to go to a horse event, presented proof of receipts and said that the trips to Maranhão and São Paulo were the work. He claims there are ‘distorted attacks’ against him.

“Do you know what I did? I returned the rates as soon as I found out, still on January 19th. (…) And, to be clear, this was a month before any material appeared in the press about it. I returned it because it was the right thing to do.”
Weighed in Juscelino’s favor pressure from União Brasil for Lula to keep him in the ministry and, this weekend, the party released a note in defense of Juscelino.
