Guillermo Maldonado is an American co-founder and senior pastor of El Rey Jesús, a Christian apostolic and prophetic church located in Miami, Florida, and an author who was born in Honduras.
Maldonado is the senior pastor and co-founder of El Rey Jess in Miami, Florida. In 1996, Maldonado and his partner, Ana Maldonado, co-founded the parish.
It began with twelve members meeting in the Maldonados’ living room and has grown to accommodate between 15,000 and 20,000 people each week, making it the largest Hispanic church in the United States.
The church has branch sites in Florida, as well as satellite locations in Georgia and New York. In 2010, the church also opened Casa Hogar, an orphanage in Honduras.
Maldonado is the host of the televangelist show The Supernatural Now, which airs on the televangelist networks TBN, Daystar, and The Church Channel. His ministry, along with other of his associated daughter churches, had a total attendance of 20,000 congregants as of May 22, 2013.
