Geraldo Escamilla of Beaumont died following a shooting in the parking lot of DMoney Daiquiris Lounge

Beaumont Police Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and investigating the Homicide and Aggravated Assault that occurred Saturday, March 18, 2023. Three arrests were made in connection with the incident, but detectives are still investigating and may make more arrests.

There was a large crowd at the scene. Investigators are bringing in witnesses and asking for any cellphone video or surveillance videos from businesses in the area. If you witnessed the incident, have video, and have not been contacted by investigators yet, call 409-832-1234.

On Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2:53 AM, Beaumont Police responded to 6550 Phelan, The Crossing, in reference to trespassers parking on the property and walking to DMoney Daiquiris Lounge, 6632 Phelan.

Officers were on scene when several gunshots were fired in the parking lot of DMoney’s. Officers stopped a black Mercedes party van with 14 occupants. One 16 year old juvenile fled from the van and was apprehended.

The juvenile had 3 guns on his person and officers recovered 5 more guns from the van. A gray GMC Sierra with two victims was located in the Burger King parking lot on Phelan.

The driver had a non life threatening injury and the passenger, Geraldo Escamilla, a 30 year old Beaumont man, was deceased. Detectives interviewed witnesses and suspects and obtained Murder and Aggravated Assault warrants for Armani Rashad Wallace, a 20 year old man from Orange and Jaren Battles, an 18 year old man from Orange. Wallace and Battles were transported to Jefferson County Correctional Facility.

Bond for Murder-$950,000 and bond for Aggravated Assault is $500,000.
