Frank Quattrone is a popular American technology investment banker who is the Founder & Executive Chairman of the Qatalyst Group. He created Qatalyst Group in March 2008 working as a CEO. Previously, Frank served as a Managing Director, Head of Technology Group at Credit Suisse. He was also the CEO, of DMG Technology Group at Deutsche Bank from 1996 to 1998.
Frank also served as a Managing Director, Head of Technology Group at Morgan Stanley. He is also a Chair of the NCIP Advisory Board and an active fund-raiser for the project. At the NCIP inaugural Justice for All Awards Dinner in March 2008, Frank accepted the Leadership Award. He began his career in 1977 as a Corporate Finance Analyst at Morgan Stanley. After business school at Stanford University, Franks started work at Morgan Stanley’s technology investment banking group.
In 2003, Frank was confronted with proof of allegedly incriminating emails in a widely publicized series of trials. Some of the proof included Frank forwarding to his entire staff an email with the subject ‘Re: Time to clean up those files’ following being told Credit Suisse First Boston was under inspection by a grand jury. The debut trial resulted in a hung jury. The second trial led to a conviction.
