Xavier Estrada Fernandez is getting closer to being able to file a lawsuit against Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira and against his son Javier Enriquez Romero. The Spanish referee decided to file a complaint against both, alleging that they had stained the good name of arbitration and the Technical Committee of Referees for his involvement in the ‘Negreira case’.
The information revealed about this case denounces payments from the FC Barcelona towards the former collegiate during his time as vice president of the CTA. Faced with this situation, Estrada Fernández decided to file a complaint against both of them. However, to continue with his proceedings, the judge in charge of the case has ruled that the current assistant VAR He had to pay a bond to be able to present his complaint.
This payment, which has amounted to 3,000 euros, has been paid this Friday by the Catalan collegiate, who points to the leaders of the company DASNIL 95 SL by question sports corruption. The magistrate, in her order sent on the case, prevented Estrada Fernández from presenting himself as an individual in the case by not considering that he was not directly affected by the facts denounced.

For this reason, if Xavier Estrada Fernández decided to go ahead with his lawsuit, he would have to do so as a class action. And for this, the legal process needs the payment of that bond imposed by the judge to be able to give the green light to start it. However, despite making this payment, Estrada Fernández still does not have a free hand to file his complaint.
Now, the judge will have to decide whether to admit the complaint or not. There is no established term to make this decision as long as it is done within a maximum period of 15 days. Therefore, the magistrate’s decision will not be long in coming. A decision that will also coincide with the advances made by the Prosecutor’s Office, who has just denounced FC Barcelona for payments to José María Enríquez Negreira.
