Eliott Rodriguez is a Cuban-American news journalist currently working for CBS 4 News as a news anchor at 5, 6, 7, and 11 p.m newscast. He also worked at WTVJ-Channel 4 as a reporter and WPLG-Channel 10 as a weekend co-anchor and general assignment reporter.
Rodriguez began his career at The Miami News as a reporter in 1978. He then joined WTVJ TV and later WPVI TV as a news reporter. In 1988, Eliott joined WPLG as a weekend co-anchor and general assignment reporter. He appeared in the film “Up Close and Personal” as a television news reporter in 1996.
In 1999, Rodriguez joined WFOR-TV (CBS4) in Miami as the main news anchor. He also hosts 4Sunday Morning, a weekly public affairs program. Eliott received two Emmy Awards for local news reporting in 2001 and 2004 and two Edward R. Murrow Awards.
