Eden Checkol is an American news reporter and journalist currently working for WISN 12 News. Eden anchors the 4:30 a.m. weekday edition of WISN 12 News This Morning and 12 News at 11 a.m. She joined WISN in 2017 as a weekend morning anchor.
Before moving to Milwaukee, Eden spent two years as a reporter/fill-in anchor at WISC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Madison. She covered a range of stories, including human interest features and breaking news.
She was one of the first reporters on the scene to interview the man who found Joseph Jakubowksi, the Janesville man who sent a manifesto to President Donald Trump and sparked a nationwide manhunt after stealing firearms from a gun shop. She also spent countless hours reporting on the deadly explosion that rocked the Didion Milling Plant in Cambria.
