Cedar Rapids Police investigating shooting that left two people injured

Two adult males were wounded in a shooting on Tuesday night in the 1500 block of Oakland Rd NE, according to Cedar Rapids Police.

Multiple calls for shots fired were received by Joint Communication Agency dispatchers at around 10:54 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found one male with gun shot wounds who was treated and transported to a local hospital.

Shortly after, a second adult male was also found nearby with gunshot wounds and was treated on-scene and transported to a local hospital.

Police are currently conducting an investigation and are seeking witnesses to come forward with information related to the incident.

It is believed that this was a targeted attack.
