Carter Roy is a Los Angeles-based American producer, writer, comedian, and actor. In September 2001, he relocated to New York City and joined the casts of the sketch groups Assorted States and Clean Living while still learning comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade. Jack McBrayer and Lennon Parnham were among the cast members. Carter was then invited to participate in Manhattan Theatre Club’s in-house reading series.
This included readings with Jeff Daniels, Martin Short, Marcia Gay Harden, and Christopher Walken, among others. He was then cast in MTC’s Broadway production of Translations. He gained critical recognition the following year (2002) for his portrayal of John Cusack as the major narrator in Who Killed Woody Allen?
He also had a brief cameo as a bartender on As The World Turns. Carter has also appeared in several episodes on networks such as NBC, ABC, and HBO. Carter has been frequently a comedian on VH1: All Access. He is now starring in the cult hit Killin’ It! alongside Paul Crik, as well as the award-winning comedy series Me Plus U (LA Web Series Festival and LA Comedy Festival).
