Ben Henry Education
Henry attended St. Cloud State University from 2010 to 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. During his time there, he was involved with the campus television station UTVS and played for the college’s lacrosse team that’s where he met some of his best friends and grew as a leader and became captain.
Henry served as a replay operator for Husky Productions where he was in charge of two replay cameras during live hockey broadcasts. He reported, created show teases, and shot videos for the broadcast. From September 2013 to May 2014, he served as the studio host where he hosted live intermission reports and post-game shows for the Husky Production broadcast. In June 2014, he became the managing director for UTVS News. He managed 12 producers at UTVS News and also helped produce and oversee rundowns. He also produced a 5 o’clock news segment that had a different guest each day.

Henry began his career as a multi-media journalist and anchor for an ABC affiliate in Rochester, Minnesota, KAAL-TV in January 2015. He was responsible for contributing to our social media pages and website. Henry also anchored newscasts as a fill-in.
Henry left the station joining WBBH (NBC2) in Fort Myers, Florida in January 2017. He served greatly as a multimedia journalist for NBC 2. Ben covered brush fires and Hurricane Irma. Ben later worked as an anchor and multi-media journalist for their sister station ABC7 which is also in Fort Myers.
In January 2017, he joined WZVN – ABC7 Southwest Florida as an anchor and multimedia journalist. He serves as an anchor for the weekend morning newscasts and he reports on weekdays. On weekends, he also serves as an assignment editor. He makes plans for the day’s reporters and also contributes to the station’s social media pages and website.
