He works as a sports anchor at 9news in Denver. He also presented the ‘Black and Blue Huddle,’ a weekly half-hour broadcast that chronicled the 2018 NFL season for the Carolina Panthers. He also traveled with the Duke Blue Devils in 2018 and 2019 to cover their NCAA Tournament appearances.
He joined the CBS17 News team in September 2017 after five years at KMGH in Denver, where he covered Super Bowls. He worked as a sports anchor for WCNC in Raleigh, North Carolina. His broadcasting career began in Casper, Wyoming, and he has since worked in Northern California, Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona.
He joined KOLD in Tucson, Arizona in 2014 as a sports anchor/reporter. He received his first taste of major sports with the station, covering the Arizona Diamondbacks, the annual PGA Tour stop, and the University of Arizona basketball team during their NCAA Tournament campaigns in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Andersen was also a co-host of the drive-time sports talk radio show “The Shootout.”
