He came to this station in January 2018 after spending three years and one month as the Morning and Noon Anchor at WVEC/13News in Norfolk, Virginia. In addition to anchoring, Andre frequently went out into the field to cover community-related stories. Among the stories he has covered is the 2016 tornado that hit Waverly, which is 55 miles northwest of Norfolk.
Three people were killed, including a kid, and many properties were destroyed. Also in 2016, Andre flew to Cuba to see the contentious Navy base at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, which is well-known for housing suspected terrorists.
