Prior to working at KSTP, she worked as a morning news anchor for 9&10 News – Heritage Broadcasting from June 2017 to October 2018. There, she co-anchored This Morning, a 4.5-hour morning show on CBS & FOX, and helped produce and write scripts before the broadcast began every morning. From September 2012 to June 2017, she was a reporter at WWMT-TV. There, she turned in two packages per day and delivered each one live, occasionally worked as a multi-media journalist, shooting and editing his own stories, and maintained an active presence on his work-related social media accounts and was responsible for creating additional content for the station’s web and social platforms.
During his time there, he won a Murrow Award and an Emmy nomination in addition to multiple Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters awards. From November 2009 to August 2012, he worked for 9&10 News -Heritage Broadcasting as a reporter. There, he performed many roles at WWTV/WFQX from live morning feature reporter to nightside general assignment reporter. Moreover, he was a reporter at Garden Groove Channel 3 from January 2009 to May 2009. Where she was a general assignment reporter for the city-run weekly newscast, turning one news package per week. Alex was in the Office of Admissions at Pepperdine University from August 2007 to January 2009. During her stint there, she conducted campus tours and hosted university events, and overall acted as a liaison between the university and prospective students.
From August 2008 to December 2008, she was a Special Projects and Investigations Intern at KNBC where she helped produce and write investigative surveillance. She was also a Health Unit Intern at NBC Chicago from May 2008 to August 2008. Under the supervision of NBC Chicago anchor Nesita Kwan, she helped write and produce health-related news packages, researched medical reports, made calls to physicians, scientists, and patients, and assisted in the creative development of stories in the field.
