15-year-old Davion Patterson died and five women wounded in a mass shooting at 15th and Concordia in Milwaukee

Milwaukee police reported that a shooting that took place around 11:30 p.m. on Monday on the city’s north side resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy named Davion Patterson, and left five young women, ages 18 to 22, injured.

The injured victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is being investigated, and the authorities are seeking information about the unknown suspects and the events that led up to the shooting.

The shooting is the latest act of violence to target Milwaukee’s young people.

Jacqueline Moore shared that her daughter, who was 16 years old, was fatally shot in the same location almost three years ago.

Moore expressed that regardless of age, whether 15 or 14, it is still a child who lost their life, and it is heartbreaking that another Black parent has to endure the pain of burying their child.

According to his mother, Davion Patterson was present at the location along with his older sister and was attempting to stop the physical altercation when the shooting occurred.

She shared his eighth-grade graduation pictures from Milwaukee Excellence Charter School in the spring of last year.

The police are still searching for suspects.
